TEAMSTERS LOCAL 79
General
Membership Meetings will be held on the third Saturday for the months of January 2010 to May 2010. Meetings will be suspended for June,
July and August as outlined in the Local Union Bylaws
and will resume on the third Saturday for the months
of September 2010 through December 2010 and will start at
9:00 a.m. We'll save a seat for you.
Congratulations to Scot Schroeder who won First Place for our 2009 Annual Attendance Award. Second Place winner was Bobby Davis, and Third Place was Jeff Abercrombie. Winners must have attended at least seven of the nine General Membership Meetings each year.

The Caylor B. Wood, Jr. Golf Scholarship Tournament will be held on June 19, 2010 at 8 a.m. at the Summerfield Crossings Golf Club.
Please see our Golf Book link for the 14th Annual Golf Scholarship in 2009 and for a copy of the 2010 Sponsorship Form and Player application which includes information regarding the tournament.
Fundraiser Raffle Tickets are currently being sold for $1 each. The items to be raffled off are a Garmin NUVI 255W GPS and an Apple iPod Nano 8GM MP3 Player. All proceeds will benefit the Caylor B. Wood, Jr. Golf Scholarship. You may obtain the tickets at the Local Union Hall or at our next General Membership meeting.

Call to Arms!
Local
79 has encouraged our members to participate in
the donation of blood for over 40 years. This year
the Blood Mobile will be at Teamsters Local 79
General Membership Meetings from 8 am to 12 am
on the following dates in 2010:
January 16
March 20
May 15
September 18
November 20

Florida Blood Services Mobile Unit is assigned to attend the
2010 General Membership meetings during the months of January, March, May, September and November. Each donating month all donors donating that month are eligible for a drawing for a $50.00 dinner at a restaurant of their choice.
