	Welcome to the web site of Teamsters Joint Council 75 serving the members in the states of Florida, Georgia and Southern Alabama. Joint Council 75 is the newest Joint Council affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. It had been a State Conference for more than forty years prior to the conversion serving the same states and local unions. The Executive Board has been meeting throughout the year on the new bylaws and other necessary issues to obtain approval as required by the IBT Constitution. While the name might change from a State Conference to a Joint Council, the responsibilities and authority as outlined in the IBT Constitution remains the same. The Joint Council will continue to serve the Local Unions and its members. Joint Council 75 is one of five Joint Councils in the Southern Region and is the largest with approximately 36,000 members.

The membership throughout the two states is very diversified covering every Division within the IBT. The members are under the following IBT Divisions: Airline, Automobile Transporters Industry, Building Material and Construction, Freight, Industrial, Motion Picture and Theatrical Trade, Newspaper, Magazine and Electronic, Parcel and Small Package, Port, Public Services, Tankhaul, Trade Show and Convention Centers Trade, Warehouse, and our newest division, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen.

While in today's climate many International Unions are declining in their membership, the ten (10) Local Unions affiliated with Joint Council 75 have made a strong commitment to organize the unorganized. This will become the new blood in the IBT if we are to grow and continue our forefathers vision. In addition, the Local Unions are signing up new members every day with their existing employers.

The Joint Council is also very committed and dedicated to the Political arena. If we are to protect and maintain our labor laws, we must make our presence known to our elected officials. As General President Hoffa stated, "...no permanent friends, just a permanent agenda." Very simply stated, we will continue to support those politicians who continue to support Labor's issues for our members and working America.
